Free DNA tests/McElrea

Requirements

We offer a free 12 marker Y-DNA test kit to McElrea men, and variant surnames, that have a documented family history at least to a ggrandfather. All others please contact project administrators. Visit our project website at http://www.familytreedna.com/public/McElrea for information about our research. A participant needs to be willing to share their male line ancestry and assist in further genealogy research.

This 12 marker test is a very basic Y-DNA test and will need to be upgraded to obtain much better resolution for matching.
