Craig H. Trout, of Loudoun County, Virginia, USA is the founder and volunteer group administrator of the TROUT-DNA Research Project, as well as the HATCH-DNA Research Project.
- Craig has being doing traditional genealogy since 1984 and in Octobr 2004 established two surname projects with Family Tree DNA. Craig is deeply interested in TROUT arrivals in North America during the colonial era, as well as their ancestral homelands in Germany and the United Kingdom. He is a member of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) and is very active in Find-a-Grave, the Guild of One-Name Studies (GOONS), New England Genealogical & Historical Society, and a number of similar genealogical and historical organizations. Craig maintains an on-line database of just under 40,000 individuals that he has documented during his family research.
