MtDNA lineage projects

An mtDNA Lineage Project connects individuals who believe their direct line comes from a specific female. Using mitochondrial DNA, the mtDNA Lineage Projects are for individuals who order an mtDNA test and whose direct maternal line (mother's mother's mother's...) originates from that female. Both males and females can order the mtDNA test and participate in this type of project.

- H2a2b Project. A project for anyone in haplogroup H who has the St Luke's motif (16235G and 16291T) in their HVR1 results. The project is also open to anyone in the H2a2b subclade who has 16291T without the 16235G. More information about was is Ancient DNA. Administrator: Kathy Johnston
