Castedo

Castedo has developed software for more than two decades at Microsoft, Bear Stearns, and other companies. He currently works as an independent for Castedo Ellerman LLC where he develops analytical software.

With the advent of direct-to-consumer DNA testing services such as Ancestry.com, Castedo began testing the DNA of his own family members. He developed the open-source software github.com/castedo/genomology to perform DNA analysis across three generations of family members and to learn more about their genetic traits.

Castedo launched geneheritage.com to make visually attractive and understandable reports using the same DNA analysis and insights from Castedo's family investigations.

Castedo earned a Masters of Science in Mathematics in Finance from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University and a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science.
